Immersed Gaming originated as a video game journalism and news website, and was founded August 4th, 2011. It was started by three friends who love games, Robert Baylock, Fabio Escobar, and myself (M). Our love for games drove us to create this website and “company,” but eventually our personal lives and our duties got in the way of what we had set out to do.
After a year of re-reporting the video game news from other more popular news-mediums to a small fanbase, I decided to drastically alter who we where and what we did. Instead of re-reporting news, I decided I wanted Immersed Gaming to truly be my baby. I took control of the site, and I’ve adapted it to become more of a subsidiary of my youtube channel, ImmersedGamingVids. When I started this venture, my main intent was always to create unique and interesting videos and to try to make my mark with them. ImmersedGaming.com is now more of a blog, a hub to place my thoughts and news about what I’m doing. Here you will find video game reviews, and various other articles involving games, but you will find that the majority of the content coming out of Immersed Gaming will be youtube videos. In addition, we also have our friend, and syndicated columnist The Immortal Phoenix who contributes his video game column as well.
I want to give thanks to those who have helped me in the past with Immersed Gaming, and those who have helped me get this to where it is today, such as: Robert Baylock and Fabio Escobar, two of my closest friends and originally my business partners, Dominick Natoli and Christopher Colon who are also my very close friends and were instrumental in my original testing of our podcast (which may return in the future). I would also like to thank Gabriel Sung and Kayla McGregor who both helped us immensely in their own ways for a few months each. All of these people have my many thanks, and my appreciation for their contributions, and I wish them well.
You can find and follow Immersed Gaming on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and here of course, on our main page. I hope you will all like and enjoy what I have coming. It’s taking many hours and days of planning, but hopefully my ideas will entertain you as I’ve planned.
